  • A group of farmers and common people called the Bagaudae started a rebellion in a part of the Roman Empire known as Gaul (which is now mostly France). They were unhappy with how things were.

  • During the winter, Emperor Diocletianus moved his army across the Balkans to deal with these challenges.
