Four in Math
In mathematics, four is an even number. This means you can divide it by two without any remainder.
It's also the smallest composite number. A composite number is a whole number that can be divided evenly by numbers other than 1 and itself. For example, 4 can be divided by 1, 2, and 4.
Four is also a square number. This means it's the result of multiplying a whole number by itself. In this case, 2 multiplied by 2 equals 4. So, 4 is the second square number after one.
If you multiply four by itself (four squared), you get 16. If you double four, you get 8.
