The name "A24" came from a highway in Italy. Daniel Katz was driving on the Autostrada A24 when he decided to start the company. Guggenheim Partners helped A24 get started with money. The goal was to share "movies from a distinctive point of view."
In 2012, A24 hired GrandArmy. This design agency created their logo and website. They wanted a modern look that also felt like old Hollywood.
