Ahmed Shehzad, born on November 23, 1991, is a famous Pakistani international cricketer. He is an opening batsman, which means he usually starts the batting for his team. He first played for Pakistan in April 2009 in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Australia. Ahmed was part of the Pakistan team that won the T20 World Cup in 2009. In the 2014 T20 World Cup, he made history by becoming the first Pakistani player to score 100 runs in a T20 World Cup match, scoring 111 runs against Bangladesh.

Early Life and Family
Ahmed Shehzad was born in Lahore, Pakistan, on November 23, 1991. He comes from a Pashtun family of the Afridi clan. Besides English and Urdu, he can also speak Pashto.
On September 19, 2015, Ahmed married his childhood friend, Sana. They have two children: a son born in 2017 and a daughter born in 2021.

Ahmed Shehzad has played for many different cricket teams and leagues.
Domestic Cricket Achievements
- He was the top run-scorer in the BPL in 2011-12 and was named the best batsman of the tournament.
- In the 2016–17 Departmental One Day Cup, he scored the most runs, with 653 runs. He even made his highest score in List A cricket with 166 runs in the semi-final. He was also the captain of his team during this tournament.
- He was the top run-scorer and the best player in the 2016 Pakistan Cup. He scored 372 runs in just 5 matches, including three half-centuries and one century.
- In April 2018, he was chosen to be the captain of the Balochistan team for the 2018 Pakistan Cup. He scored 251 runs in four matches for Balochistan.
- In March 2019, he joined the Federal Areas squad for the 2019 Pakistan Cup.
- Ahmed Shehzad faced a temporary ban from playing in 2018, which lasted for 10 weeks.
- In July 2019, he was picked to play for the Amsterdam Knights in a new cricket tournament called the 2019 Euro T20 Slam. However, the tournament was later canceled.
- In September 2019, he was named in the Central Punjab team for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He continued to play for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 season.
- In November 2021, he was chosen to play for the Colombo Stars in the 2021 Lanka Premier League.
- In December 2023, Ahmed Shehzad shared that he was taking a break from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after not being chosen by a team.
International Cricket Career
Ahmed Shehzad started his first-class cricket career in 2007. He got noticed by the national team after scoring 167 runs in a match where Pakistan Youth beat England.

- Ahmed made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2013. He scored 38 runs in his first innings and 55 runs in his second.
