Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is a fun movie that continues the adventures of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. It's the sequel to the first Alvin and the Chipmunks film. This movie mixes live-action actors with amazing CGI (computer-generated images) for the Chipmunks.
It first came out in theaters on December 23, 2009, just in time for the holidays! This film is special because it introduces the super talented girl group, the Chipettes.

What Happens in The Squeakquel?
The Chipmunks Go to School
The movie starts with the Chipmunks, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, performing at a concert in Paris, France. During the show, their human guardian, David Seville, gets hurt. He needs to rest and recover. So, Dave asks his aunt, Jackie, to look after the Chipmunks.
Dave decides it's time for the Chipmunks to go to school. He thinks it will be good for them. But the Chipmunks feel a bit out of place. They are used to being famous singers, not regular students among lots of human kids!
Ian and the Chipettes
Meanwhile, Ian, who caused trouble for the Chipmunks before, is now out of jail. He is still looking for talented animals who can sing and dance. He wants to make them famous and get back at the Chipmunks.
Ian soon finds three amazing girl chipmunks: Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor. They are known as the Chipettes! Ian is very excited to make them big stars. When the Chipmunks and the Chipettes finally meet, they quickly become friends.
