Armaan Malik (born 22 July 1995) is a talented Indian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is also known for his voice-over work and acting. Armaan sings in many different Indian languages. He is the younger brother of famous music composer Amaal Mallik.
Armaan used to work with Universal Music India and T-Series. Now, he is signed with Arista Records. He also has his own music label called Always Music Global, which he runs with Warner Music India. His first time appearing on screen was in the 2011 film Kaccha Limboo.

Early Life and Family
Armaan Malik was born in Mumbai, India, on 22 July 1995. His parents are Daboo Malik and Jyoti Malik. His older brother, Amaal Mallik, is also a well-known musician. Armaan went to Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai.
Music Journey
Starting Out (2006–2008)
Armaan Malik started singing when he was just 4 years old. In 2006, he took part in a singing competition called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs, where he finished in 8th place. After that, he spent 10 years learning Indian classical music.
In 2007, Armaan made his debut as a child singer in Bollywood. He sang "Bum Bum Bole" for the movie Taare Zameen Par. The music for this song was created by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Armaan also did voice-over work for the English boy in My Name Is Khan. He even lent his voice for the character Salim in the radio version of Slumdog Millionaire for BBC Radio 1.
Playback Singing and First Album (2009–2019)
In 2014, Armaan became a playback singer, which means he sang songs for actors in movies. His first song was "Tumko Toh Aana Hi Tha" for the Hindi movie Jai Ho. He also sang two other songs in the same movie: "Love You Till The End (House Mix)" and the title track, "Jai Ho". Armaan and his brother Amaal Mallik even appeared briefly in the movie during the song "Love You Till The End". That same year, he sang "Naina" with Sona Mohapatra for Khoobsurat and "Auliya" for Ungli.
Armaan released his first album, simply titled Armaan, in 2014.
In 2015, he sang many popular songs. These included "Main Hoon Hero Tera" for Hero and "Tumhe Aapna Banane Ka" for Hate Story 3. His brother Amaal Mallik composed the music for these songs. He also sang the hit single "Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon". For his amazing talent, Armaan received the Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent that year.
In 2016, Armaan continued to sing for many films like Sanam Re, Kapoor & Sons, and Baaghi. He sang "Sab Tera" with Shraddha Kapoor for Baaghi. He also sang his first Bengali song, "Dhitang Dhitang". Armaan was the main singer for the film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, singing four songs for the Hindi version and three for the Tamil version.
In 2019, Armaan sang "Kyun Rabba" for the movie Badla and "Chale Aana" for De De Pyaar De. He also became a coach on the Indian TV show The Voice, making him the youngest Indian singer to be a coach on the show. Armaan also lent his voice to the Hindi-dubbed versions of popular Disney movies. He voiced the main character, Aladdin, in the live-action movie Aladdin. He also sang songs for the Hindi version of The Lion King.
English Songs and More Success (2020-Present)
On 12 March 2020, Armaan Malik signed with Arista Records. This led to him releasing his first English song, "Control", on 20 March 2020. "Control" won the Best Indian Act at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards. It was later certified platinum in India, meaning it sold a lot of copies!
In 2020, Armaan made history by becoming the first artist to reach No. 1 on the Top Triller Global Billboard charts twice. He then released his second English song, "How Many", which included an Indian tabla drum to celebrate his heritage. He mentioned that it was a big step to introduce himself to the global music world with English songs.
In 2021, Armaan was featured on a song called "Meri Pukaar Suno" by the famous composer A. R. Rahman. This song included many other talented singers. In September 2021, Armaan worked with his father Daboo Malik and brother Amaal Mallik on a new song called "Barsaat".
In 2022, Armaan released another English song called "You" with Arista Records. This song also won him the Best India Act at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards. He also sang for films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Major. He released Hindi songs like "Nakhrey Nakhrey" and "Rehna Tere Paas". Armaan was also featured on a remix of the Ed Sheeran song 2step (song) in June 2022.
Personal Life
On 28 August 2023, Armaan Malik announced that he was engaged to his partner, Aashna Shroff. They had been together for six years. Armaan and Aashna Shroff got married on 2 January 2025, in a ceremony held in Mahabaleshwar.
