Attalens is a town in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Fribourg, within the Veveyse district.

History of Attalens
Attalens is a very old place. It was first written about in the year 867. Back then, it was known as Haltningum.
Geography of Attalens
Attalens covers an area of about 9.82 square kilometers (3.79 square miles). A large part of this land, almost 60%, is used for farming. About 27% of the area is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 13%, has buildings and roads.
The town is in the Veveyse district. It is found along the road that connects Vevey and Palézieux.
