Bad Zurzach is a lovely village in Switzerland, located in the canton of Aargau. It used to be its own municipality. But on January 1, 2022, Bad Zurzach and seven other nearby villages joined together. They formed a new, bigger municipality also called Zurzach.

This town is famous for its warm, healing thermal baths and outdoor swimming areas. It's also known for its rich history. You can find ancient buildings and sites here. These include the old market town, the beautiful St. Verena convent church, and the ruins of a Roman castle called Tenedo. These places are very important to Swiss history.

Bad Zurzach was once just called Zurzach. People voted in 2006 to add "Bad" to its name. "Bad" means "bath" in German, highlighting its famous thermal springs.

Bad Zurzach covers an area of about 6.5 square kilometers (2.5 square miles). A big part of this land, about 42.6%, is covered by forests. Another 25.2% is used for farming. About 27.9% of the land has buildings and roads.

The town sits right on the Rhine river. Across the river, you can see the village of Rheinheim in Germany. This makes Bad Zurzach a special place right on the border!
