Beatrice Annika Miller is an American singer and actress. She first became known when she was 13 years old, as a contestant on the TV show The X Factor in 2012. After the show, she signed with Hollywood Records.
Bea released her first collection of songs, called an EP, titled Young Blood in 2014. Her first full album, Not an Apology, came out in 2015. She continued to release music, including the single "Yes Girl" in 2016. In 2017, she released three EPs: Chapter One: Blue, Chapter Two: Red, and Chapter Three: Yellow. These EPs, plus other songs, became her second album, Aurora.
In 2018, Bea sang on the popular song "I Wanna Know" by NOTD. This song did very well in many countries. She has also released songs like "It's Not U It's Me" with 6lack and "Feel Something". In 2020, she released her EP Elated!, which included the song "Wisdom Teeth".

Her Start on The X Factor
Bea Miller was a contestant on the second season of The X Factor in 2012. She finished in ninth place. She was eliminated after a "sing-off" against another contestant, CeCe Frey. However, Bea actually received more votes from the public, meaning she would have been saved if the decision had gone to a tie-breaker.

Signing a Record Deal and First Album
On April 11, 2013, it was announced that Bea Miller signed with Syco Music and Hollywood Records. This was a special deal because it was the first time these two labels worked together. After The X Factor, she started using the name Bea Miller instead of Beatrice Annika Miller.
In 2014, she lent her voice to an audiobook called Deep Blue: Songspell and sang a song for it called "Open Your Eyes". She also put a new song called "Rich Kids" on YouTube, which later appeared on her album Not an Apology.
Her first EP, Young Blood, was released on April 22, 2014. The main song from it was "Young Blood". This EP quickly reached No. 2 on the iTunes pop albums chart and No. 64 on the Billboard 200 chart. Bea also got to open for Demi Lovato on some of her concerts during the Demi World Tour.
In December 2014, Bea was chosen as Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month. She performed her song "Young Blood" live on NBC's Today show. In 2015, Radio Disney named her their newest "Next Big Thing" artist. Her song "Young Blood" even won an award for "Best Song to Rock Out to With Your BFF" at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards.
Bea released her first full album, Not an Apology, on July 24, 2015. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart. She also joined Fifth Harmony's The Reflection Tour as an opening act in the summer of 2015.
Aurora and More Music
In 2016, Bea Miller joined Selena Gomez on her Revival Tour as an opening act. She also started hosting special "Tea With Bea" meet and greet events for her fans.
On May 20, 2016, she released a new song called "Yes Girl". She performed this song and another unreleased song, "Song Like You," many times on the Revival Tour. Her song "This Little Light of Mine" was used in a commercial for 3 Musketeers candy bars.
In 2017, Bea released three EPs, each named after a color: Chapter One: Blue (February 24), Chapter Two: Red (June 2), and Chapter Three: Yellow (October 6). She performed "Song Like You" on The Late Late Show with James Corden, which was her first time on a late-night TV show.
In August 2017, Bea's song "Brand New Eyes" was featured in the trailer for the movie Wonder.
Bea's second full album, Aurora, was released on February 23, 2018. This album included all the songs from her three "chapter" EPs, plus five brand new songs. She performed "S.L.U.T.", a song from the album, on MTV's TRL. She explained that she wanted to change the meaning of the word "S.L.U.T." to stand for "sweet little unforgettable thing."
In March 2018, Bea was featured on the song "I Wanna Know" by NOTD. This song became very popular and went Platinum in several countries like Australia, Canada, and the UK. She performed it live on Today in June 2018.
Recent Projects and Tours
In February 2019, Bea announced her first tour where she was the main performer, called the "Nice To Meet U Tour". She then released "It's Not U It's Me" with American R&B singer 6lack. After that, she released "Feel Something" and announced another tour, the "Sunsets in Outerspace Tour".
In August 2019, Bea released "Feels Like Home" with Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez. She also worked with the music group Snakehips on the song "Never Gonna Like You" in September 2019.
In October 2020, Bea released the song "Wisdom Teeth" as the main song for her EP titled Elated!, which came out on October 23, 2020. In November 2021, her song "Playground" was featured in the animated TV series Arcane, based on the video game League of Legends. The music video for "Playground" was even part of the opening ceremony for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship!
Bea has also started her own record label called Olliebear, working with ADA, which is part of Warner Music Group.
Personal Life
Bea Miller grew up in Manhattan, New York and Maplewood, New Jersey. She has two mothers and two younger adopted siblings. When she was younger, she went to a family camp called COLAGE. Bea has something called synesthesia, which means she sees different colors when she hears certain sounds.
From 2015 to 2016, Bea dated singer Jacob Whitesides.
Bea is also an ambassador for Ditch the Label, a charity that helps fight bullying.
