Bellach is a town, also called a municipality, located in the Lebern district of Switzerland. It's part of the canton of Solothurn.

History of Bellach
Bellach was first mentioned in old records way back in 1294. Back then, it was known as Bella. A few years later, in 1307, its name changed slightly to Bellacho.
Geography of Bellach
Bellach covers an area of about 5.27 square kilometers (which is about 2 square miles). A big part of this land, almost half (47.4%), is used for farming. Forests cover about 14.6% of the area.
About a third of Bellach (33.4%) has buildings or roads. A small part (4.2%) is made up of rivers or lakes. The rest (0.2%) is land that isn't used for anything.
Bellach is located at the bottom of the Jura Mountains, which are west of the city of Solothurn. It used to be three separate villages: Ober-Bellach, Nieder-Bellach, and Gärisch. Over time, these villages grew and joined together to form the Bellach we know today.
There's a special pond and nature area in Bellach called Bellacher Weiher. It's a protected spot for nature lovers.
