The Story of Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum
The show is about a 300-year-old boy named Nino. He lives in a magical castle in São Paulo, Brazil. Nino lives with his uncle, Dr. Victor, who is a 3,000-year-old sorcerer. His great-aunt Morgana, a 6,000-year-old witch, also lives there.
Nino's parents are away exploring outer space. They left him with his magical family. Since Nino is so old for a boy, he never went to a regular school. He has many supernatural animal friends in the castle. But he really misses having friends his own age.
One day, Nino uses a spell he learned from his uncle. This spell brings three kids from school right to his castle! Now, Nino is not lonely anymore. These three friends visit him every day. Other special friends also drop by. These include Bongo, the pizza delivery guy, and Penelope, a TV reporter. There's also the folk legend Caipora and an alien named Etevaldo.
But there's a villain! Dr. Abobrinha (Dr. Zucchini) is a real estate developer. He wants to tear down the castle. He plans to build a huge 100-story building in its place. Nino and his friends must protect their magical home!
