Christine Louise Lampard (born Bleakley on 2 February 1979) is a well-known television presenter from Northern Ireland. She has hosted many popular TV shows.
Christine worked with Adrian Chiles on programmes like The One Show (from 2007 to 2010) and Daybreak (from 2010 to 2011). She also teamed up with Phillip Schofield for Dancing on Ice (from 2012 to 2014) and This Morning (from 2013 to 2016, and again in 2023). Christine has also presented factual series for ITV, such as Off The Beaten Track (2013) and Wild Ireland (2015). Since 2016, she has been a presenter on the ITV chat show Loose Women.

Early Life and Education
Christine Bleakley was born in Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, Northern Ireland. She grew up in Newtownards and has a younger sister named Nicola.
Christine started her TV journey as a "runner," helping behind the scenes. She then trained to be a "floor manager" while studying for her A-Levels at Bloomfield Collegiate School in Ballyhackamore, Belfast. She continued working at BBC NI while studying politics at Queen's University, Belfast. However, she decided to focus on her television career full-time before finishing her degree.
Television Career
Christine Lampard has had a long and successful career in television, working for major broadcasters like the BBC and ITV.
Working at the BBC
Christine began her career at BBC Northern Ireland. She worked on the comedy show Give My Head Peace and even made a special appearance in 2016.
She hosted many different shows for BBC Northern Ireland. One show, Sky High (2004), involved her flying around Northern Ireland in a helicopter. She also presented First Stop, Would You Pass The 11+ and helped with Children in Need coverage. In 2005, she hosted the cooking show Spill the Beans.
Outside Northern Ireland, Christine co-hosted Let Me Entertain You on BBC Two with Brian Conley. In July 2007, she became a co-host of The One Show on BBC One, taking over from Myleene Klass. She and Adrian Chiles presented the show together for three years.
In 2009, Christine also co-presented Britain's Classroom Heroes and sometimes hosted The National Lottery Draws. In March 2010, she helped host a part of the Sport Relief telethon.
When Adrian Chiles left the BBC in 2010, Christine also decided to leave The One Show. She moved to ITV to co-host Daybreak with Adrian Chiles. In September 2016, Christine returned to the BBC to co-present Christine and Adrian's Friendship Test with Adrian Chiles, a three-part series for BBC Northern Ireland in November 2017.
Moving to ITV
Christine joined ITV on a four-year contract. On 6 September 2010, she started hosting Daybreak with Adrian Chiles. The show had mixed reviews and low viewing figures at first. Christine and Adrian Chiles were replaced as hosts in November 2011.
From 2011 to 2015, Christine co-hosted ITV's Christmas charity event Text Santa. She hosted it with Phillip Schofield in 2011, 2014, and 2015, and with Paddy McGuinness in 2012 and 2013. She also hosted several ITV special shows, including music specials for Simply Red (2010) and Duran Duran (2011).
In 2011, Christine became Phillip Schofield's co-presenter on Dancing on Ice, replacing Holly Willoughby. She hosted three series of the show from 2012 until it ended in March 2014. Dancing on Ice returned in January 2018, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as hosts.
Christine often fills in as a host on This Morning when Phillip Schofield or Holly Willoughby are not available.
In 2013, Christine presented a six-part series called Off The Beaten Track, exploring different places. In 2015, she presented Wild Ireland, a six-part documentary series where she traveled across the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland.
Since October 2016, Christine has been a regular anchor on the popular chat show Loose Women. She also frequently guest presents Lorraine on ITV, especially during school holidays.
Working for UKTV
In October 2016, Christine co-presented Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live for UKTV's W channel. She hosted the show with Matt Richardson and Jamie East for five nights. In 2018, Christine and Matt Richardson presented Celebrity Haunted Mansion for the same channel.
Strictly Come Dancing
In 2008, Christine took part in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer Matthew Cutler. They were eliminated on 30 November 2008, finishing in fifth place.
Radio Work
Early in her career, Christine worked at Belfast Citybeat as a newsreader and presenter. From January to March 2015, she presented a Sunday afternoon show called Sunday Lunch on Magic Radio.
Other Projects
Christine has also done voice work for films. She was the voice of a radio newsreader in the 1998 film Divorcing Jack. She also voiced the character Sandra in the 2010 animated film A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures.
In December 2011, Christine released a fitness DVD called Christine Bleakley – The Workout. In August 2014, she became a brand ambassador for Soft & Gentle anti-perspirant. She also became an ambassador for BT Call Protect in January 2017.
Awards and Recognition
In November 2010, Christine was named 'Top TV Host' at the 2010 Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards.
Personal Life
Christine Lampard is married to English footballer Frank Lampard. They started their relationship in October 2009 and got married on 20 December 2015. Christine is a stepmother to Frank's two daughters from a previous relationship. They live in Kensington, London. Their first child, a daughter, was born on 21 September 2018. On 15 March 2021, they welcomed a baby boy.
Charity Work
Christine is an ambassador for The Prince's Trust in Northern Ireland, a charity that helps young people. In 2010, she completed a water skiing challenge across the English Channel for Sport Relief, raising over £1.3 million. She also supports the Sparks children's charity and hosted their winter ball in 2015. She was a presenter for the Text Santa charity appeal from 2011 to 2015.
