Clémence Guichard (born October 30, 1982), known as Clémence Poésy, is a French actress and fashion model. She started acting on stage when she was a child. Clémence has been in many movies and TV shows since 1999, including some in English. She is famous for playing Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter movies. She also played Chloë in In Bruges, Rana in 127 Hours, and Natasha Rostova in War and Peace. She was also the main character, Elise Wassermann, in the TV series The Tunnel.

Early Life and School
Clémence Poésy was born in L'Haÿ-les-Roses, a town near Paris, France. Her father, Étienne Guichard, was an actor and writer, and her mother was a French teacher. Clémence decided to use her mother's maiden name, Poésy, as her stage name.
She went to a special school called La Source in Meudon, which taught in two languages. When she was a child, her father gave her first acting job. She had two lines in a play when she was 14 years old. Clémence also has a younger sister, Maëlle Poésy-Guichard, who is an actress too.
After leaving school at 16, Clémence studied acting at several famous drama schools in France, including the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique.
Becoming an Actress
Clémence Poésy's first role in an English-speaking show was in the BBC mini-series Gunpowder, Treason & Plot in 2004. In this show, she played Mary, Queen of Scots. She even won an award for this role in 2005!
In 2005, Clémence became known to many young people when she appeared in the Harry Potter movies. She played Fleur Delacour in The Goblet of Fire. She later played Fleur again in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2.
Between 2006 and 2007, she worked on many other movies and TV shows. One of these was the 2007 mini-series War and Peace, where she played Natasha Rostova.
In 2008, Clémence starred in the movie In Bruges. This film was nominated for an Academy Award. She also appeared in Heartless in 2009. In 2010, she was in the movie 127 Hours with James Franco. This film was directed by Danny Boyle.
Clémence also acted in the popular TV show Gossip Girl. She played Eva, Chuck Bass's new French girlfriend, in the fourth season. In 2012, she performed on Broadway in the play Cyrano de Bergerac.
From 2013 to 2018, Clémence was the main female lead in the TV series The Tunnel. This show had 24 episodes over three seasons. In 2024, she will play Matilda of Flanders in a new historical drama called King and Conqueror.
Modelling Work
Besides acting, Clémence Poésy is also a successful fashion model. She has been on the covers of many magazines, like i-D, Jalouse, Yen, and Nylon.
Since 2007, Clémence has been one of the main models for the perfume brand Chloé. She also modeled for Gap's autumn clothing campaign in 2008. In 2011, she became the face of the clothing company G-Star Raw. Later, in 2014, she was chosen to be the model for Chloé's "Love Story" perfume.
Her Life Today
Clémence Poésy can speak French and English very well. She also knows some Italian and Spanish. She spends her time living in both Paris and London.
Clémence has three children. Her first son, Liam, was born in early 2017. She was pregnant with her second child in 2019 while filming the movie Tenet. She was pregnant with her third child in 2021.
