Clémence Guichard (born on October 30, 1982), known as Clémence Poésy, is a French actress and model. She started acting on stage when she was a child. Since 1999, she has worked in many films and TV shows. She has also acted in English-language productions.
She is famous for playing Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter movies. She also played Chloë in In Bruges and Rana in 127 Hours. Other important roles include Natasha Rostova in War and Peace. She was also the main character, Elise Wassermann, in the TV series The Tunnel.

Early Life and School Days
Clémence Poésy was born in L'Haÿ-les-Roses. This is a suburb south of Paris, France. Her father, Étienne Guichard, was an actor and writer. Her mother was a French teacher. Clémence uses her mother's family name, Poésy, as her stage name.
She went to a special bilingual school called La Source in Meudon. Her father gave her first acting job when she was very young. At age 14, she had two lines in a play. Her younger sister, Maëlle Poésy-Guichard, is also an actress.
After leaving school at 16, Clémence studied acting. She went to the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique. This is a famous French acting school. She also studied at other drama schools and Paris Nanterre University.
Clémence Poésy's Acting Career
Clémence Poésy's first role in English was in a BBC mini-series. It was called Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (2004). In this show, she played Mary, Queen of Scots. She won an award for this role in 2005. It was the Golden FIPA for best actress in a TV series.
In 2005, Poésy joined the Harry Potter movies. She played Fleur Delacour in The Goblet of Fire. She then worked on several other films and TV shows. This included the 2007 mini-series War and Peace.
In 2008, she starred in the movie In Bruges. This film was nominated for an Academy Award. She acted alongside Colin Farrell and other Harry Potter actors. In 2009, Poésy was in Heartless. She also returned as Fleur Delacour in both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movies. She played Eva, Chuck Bass's new girlfriend, in the TV show Gossip Girl.
In 2010, Poésy appeared with James Franco in 127 Hours. This movie was directed by Danny Boyle. 127 Hours was shown at major film festivals that year. In 2011, she acted with Rupert Friend in Lullaby for Pi. This was a romantic drama. She also sang on a song called "Happenstance" by Miles Kane.
She worked with Michael Caine in Mr. Morgan's Last Love. In 2012, she performed on Broadway for the first time. She played Roxane in the play Cyrano de Bergerac.
From 2013 to 2018, Poésy was the main female lead in The Tunnel. This TV series had 24 episodes. In 2019, she played Yelena in Chekhov's play Uncle Vanya. This play was performed at the Theatre Royal in Bath.

Clémence Poésy has been featured in many magazines. She has been on the covers of i-D, Jalouse, Yen, and Nylon. Since 2007, she has been a spokesperson for the perfume by Chloé. She also modeled for Gap's autumn advertising in 2008.
In 2011, Poésy became the face of the clothing company G-Star Raw. In 2014, she was the main model for the "Love Story" perfume from Chloé.
Personal Life
Clémence Poésy speaks French and English very well. She also knows some Italian and Spanish. She lives in both Paris and London. She has also spent time in Eastern Europe.
She has three children. Her first son was born in early 2017. She was pregnant with her second child in 2019 while filming Tenet. She was pregnant with her third child in 2021.
