It's famous for its fun festivals. These include a Street Fair in September and a Maifest in May. There's also an Oktoberfest in October and a Christbaumfest in November. These events celebrate Cole Camp's strong German heritage.

Discovering Cole Camp's Past
Cole Camp was first planned in 1857. The town became a stop on the famous Butterfield Overland Mail route. This mail route delivered letters and goods across the country. It ran from 1858 to 1861. The route connected to St. Louis by the Pacific Railroad.
The first postmaster in Cole Camp was Ezekiel Williams, Sr. He started his job in 1839. The city was likely named after Captain Stephen Cole, a brave pioneer.
Cole Camp During the Civil War
Cole Camp was the site of an important battle during the American Civil War. On June 19, 1861, a local group called the Home Guard was attacked. They were fighting for the Union side. A force from the Missouri State Guard attacked them.
Sadly, the Home Guard lost the Battle of Cole Camp. About 35 of their men were either killed or hurt.

Cole Camp is located in the northeast part of Benton County. You can find it along Missouri Route 52. It's about four miles west of US Route 65. The start of Cole Camp Creek is right next to the west side of the town.

In 2022, U.S. News and World Report ranked Cole Camp High School. It was the #195 best high school in Missouri. The high school had 222 students.
Cole Camp also has a public library. It is part of the Boonslick Regional Library system.

- Martin Heinrich – He grew up in Cole Camp. He later became a U.S. Senator for New Mexico.
- Stan Kroenke – He is a very successful sports team owner. He owns the Los Angeles Rams and the Denver Nuggets. He also owns the Colorado Avalanche and is a majority owner of Arsenal.
