Colorado Desert facts for kids

California's Colorado Desert is a part of the larger Sonoran Desert. It is about 7 million acres (2,800,000 ha; 28,000 km2). It also has the irrigated Coachella and Imperial valleys. The desert is known for its many flora and fauna.
