Cornol is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Jura canton of Switzerland. It's part of the Porrentruy district.

History of Cornol
Cornol is quite old! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1136. Back then, it was called Coronotum.
Geography of Cornol
Cornol covers an area of about 10.43 square kilometers (which is about 4 square miles). A big part of this land, about 57.8%, is used for farming. Forests cover another 33.6% of the area.
About 7.5% of Cornol's land is built up with buildings and roads. There's also a small pond called the Étang de la Montoie, which is about 1.4 hectares in size. A very small part of the land, less than 1%, is rivers or unproductive land.
Cornol is located in the Porrentruy district. You can find it on the road that leads to Les Rangiers.
Cornol's Coat of Arms

During the 2009-2010 school year, Cornol had 86 students in 5 classes. There was one kindergarten class and four primary classes. However, Cornol doesn't have its own secondary school. So, all students from Cornol go to secondary schools in other towns.
