Early Life and Education

Dave Pasch grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. His parents are Robert and Ina Pasch.

He went to Madison Memorial High School and graduated in 1990. After high school, Dave attended Syracuse University. He studied at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. While there, he got to work on-air for WAER radio. He finished his studies and graduated in 1994.

Becoming a Sports Announcer

Dave Pasch started his career in sports broadcasting in 1994. Before joining ESPN, he worked for several different sports organizations.

He announced high school football games for the West Virginia Radio Corporation. He also covered golf, NFL games, and college basketball tournaments for CBS Radio/Westwood One. Dave even worked for Fox Sports, announcing games for NFL Europe and the NFL. He also called games for the Detroit Vipers and the Chicago Blackhawks.

From 1999 to 2002, Dave was the voice for Syracuse Orange college football and basketball. In 2001, he announced preseason TV games for the Buffalo Bills.

Dave Pasch joined ESPN television in 2003. Since then, he has become a familiar voice for many sports fans. He mainly announces NBA games, college football, and college basketball.

He has also been the play-by-play announcer for the Arizona Cardinals since 2002. This means he describes all the action as it happens during their games.
