Diana Gordon, also known as Wynter Gordon, is an American singer and songwriter. She was born on August 25, 1985. Diana started her music journey by writing songs for other artists. Later, she signed with Atlantic Records and began working on her own music.
Her first album, With the Music I Die, came out in 2011. A song from this album, "Dirty Talk", became very popular. It earned triple platinum in Australia and platinum in the United Kingdom. It even reached number one on the music charts in Australia! In 2016, she started using her birth name, Diana Gordon. She has since released EPs like Pure (2018) and Wasted Youth (2020).
Diana Gordon has also helped write and sing backup for many famous songs. These include "Sorry" by Beyoncé and "Electricity" by Silk City and Dua Lipa. She also worked on "Bad Habit" by Steve Lacy. More recently, she sang on several songs for Lil Yachty's album Let's Start Here in 2023.

Early Life and Music Dreams
Diana Gordon was born in Queens, New York City, on August 25, 1985. She grew up in South Jamaica, Queens, as the middle child of six siblings.
Diana started singing when she was very young. She and her brothers and sisters often sang together at church. When she was in high school, Diana decided she wanted to have a career in music. She was accepted into the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She also worked as an intern at a record company. Diana wrote her first full song, "Daddy's Song", when she was 15 years old. She has said that writing songs was a way for her to escape tough times.
Music Career Journey
Starting Out in Music (2004–2010)
Diana Gordon worked closely with a music producer named D'Mile starting in 2004. Her first big success was writing "Gonna Breakthrough". This song became the title track for Mary J. Blige's album The Breakthrough in 2005. Soon after, Diana got the chance to sign with Atlantic Records. She began working on her first album in 2004.
In 2008, Diana wrote two songs for Danity Kane's album Welcome to the Dollhouse. These songs were "2 of You" and "Do Me Good". She also helped write and sang on the hit song "Sugar" with rapper Flo Rida in 2009. This song became popular around the world and reached number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Diana also co-wrote and sang on "Toyfriend" for French DJ David Guetta's album One Love (2009). She worked with Jennifer Lopez, writing four songs for her album Love? (2011).
First Album Success (2011–2013)
Diana Gordon released her first album, With the Music I Die, on June 17, 2011. The main song from the album, "Dirty Talk", became number one on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. "Dirty Talk" also topped the charts in Australia, where it sold enough to be certified 3 times Platinum. The song was released in the UK and Ireland in February 2011. It reached No. 25 in the UK and No. 8 in Ireland.
The second song from the album, "Til Death", reached No. 3 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. It also reached No. 16 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The album later had two more songs released as singles, "Buy My Love" and "Still Getting Younger". In August 2011, Diana toured as a supporting act for Patrick Stump.
In 2012, she released a new song called "Stimela". This was the first song from her Human Condition collection of extended plays (EPs). She decided to release these EPs herself. The first EP, Human Condition: Doleo, came out on July 9, 2012. The second EP, Human Condition: Sanguine, was released on January 15, 2013.
Working with Beyoncé and New Music (2016)
On April 23, 2016, Beyoncé released her album Lemonade. Diana Gordon was credited for writing and producing several songs on it. These included "Don't Hurt Yourself", "Sorry", and "Daddy Lessons".
A few months after Lemonade came out, on July 22, 2016, Diana Gordon announced a big change. She said she would no longer use her stage name, Wynter Gordon. Instead, she would go by her birth name, Diana Gordon. On July 25, 2016, Diana Gordon shared her first song under her own name, "The Legend Of". Her first EP released under her own name, titled Pure, came out on August 3, 2018. On April 3, 2020, Gordon released a new eight-song EP called Wasted Youth. This EP included acoustic versions of "Rollin" and "Once A Friend."
