Elias Ricks (born September 26, 2001) is an American football player. He plays as a cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).
Eli was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He played college football at two big universities. First, he played for the LSU Tigers. Then, he transferred to the Alabama Crimson Tide. After college, the Eagles signed him in 2023.
Eli Ricks' Early Life and High School
Eli Ricks grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He first went to Mater Dei High School. This school is in Santa Ana, California.
Later, he moved to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. This was for his last year of high school. During that year, he made 14 tackles. He also caught three interceptions.
Eli was chosen to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl. This is a special game for top high school players. He was a highly-rated player. Eli decided to play college football for Louisiana State University (LSU).
Playing College Football
Eli Ricks started playing for LSU in 2020. This was his first year in college. He played as a starter for the team.
In his first year, he had 20 tackles. He also made four interceptions. Two of these interceptions were returned for touchdowns. This means he scored points for his team.
In 2022, Eli decided to transfer. He moved to the University of Alabama. He played one season there. After that season, he decided to enter the 2023 NFL draft. This is where professional teams choose new players. However, Eli was not chosen in the draft.
