Erin Hawksworth's Career in Sports News
Erin Hawksworth has worked at many different TV stations across the United States. She started her career as an intern for NBC, helping to cover the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. She also interned in the sports department at KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona.
Later, Erin became a sports and morning news anchor and reporter for KCPQ in her hometown of Seattle. She also worked for WFXT in Boston, WFAA in Dallas, Texas, and KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Her younger brother, Blake Hawksworth, was a professional pitcher for baseball teams like the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers. Her grandfather, Jack Poole, was a very important person who helped bring the 2010 Winter Olympics to Vancouver, British Columbia.
In 2013, Bleacher Report, a popular sports website, named Erin Hawksworth as one of the 40 Most Popular Sports Reporters. Erin is also a Metis member of Cree descent, which means she has Indigenous heritage through her grandfather, Jack Poole.
