Evan Thomas Peters (born January 20, 1987) is an American actor. He started his acting journey in 2004 with the film Clipping Adam. He also starred in the ABC science fiction series Invasion from 2005 to 2006.
Evan Peters became very well-known for playing many different characters. He appeared in ten seasons of Ryan Murphy's FX series American Horror Story, from 2011 to 2021.
He won an Emmy Award for his role as a detective in the HBO crime series Mare of Easttown (2021). He also won a Golden Globe Award for playing the main character in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022). He was also nominated for an Emmy for this role.
In movies, Peters played a supporting role in the superhero film Kick-Ass (2010). He also played Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver in the X-Men film series (2014–2019). He was nominated for an award for his role in the film American Animals (2018).

Early Life and Moving to Hollywood
Evan Thomas Peters was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents are Julie and Phillip Peters. He grew up in a town called Ballwin. His father works as a vice president for a foundation. Evan and his family are of German background. He was raised Catholic and went to a Catholic school. He has an older brother, Andrew, and an older half-sister, Michelle.
In 2001, Evan moved with his family to Grand Blanc, Michigan. There, he started modeling and took acting classes. He went to Grand Blanc High School. When he was 15, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother to follow his dream of acting. He attended Burbank High School for a while. Later, he began taking classes at home.
Evan's Acting Journey
Starting Out and Kick-Ass (2004–2010)
Evan Peters got his first acting role as Adam Sheppard in the film Clipping Adam. This was only his second audition! For this role, he won an award for Best Breakthrough Performance at the Phoenix Film Festival. He also appeared in many TV commercials. These included ads for PlayStation, Progressive Insurance, and Papa John's Pizza.
In 2004, he was in the film Sleepover as Russell "SpongeBob" Hayes. He also appeared in the ABC series The Days. From 2004 to 2005, he had a role in the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future. From 2005 to 2006, he played Jesse Varon in the ABC sci-fi series Invasion.
Evan then had smaller roles in films like An American Crime (2007) and Never Back Down (2008). He also acted in theater plays, including Oliver Twist. In 2008, he had a recurring role on The CW series One Tree Hill. He also made guest appearances in many TV shows. These included The Mentalist, House, and The Office.
In 2010, he played Todd Haynes in the superhero film Kick-Ass. Todd was the main character's best friend. Evan could not be in the sequel, Kick-Ass 2, because he was busy filming American Horror Story.
American Horror Story, Quicksilver, and Dahmer (2011–Present)

Evan Peters became very famous for his role as Tate Langdon in the first season of American Horror Story. This show is an anthology series, meaning each season tells a different story with new characters.
In the second season, Asylum, he played Kit Walker. Kit was a man wrongly accused of a crime. This role earned him a nomination for an award.
For the third season, Coven, he played Kyle Spencer. Kyle was a college student who was brought back to life. In the fourth season, Freak Show, he played Jimmy Darling. Jimmy was a circus performer with unique hands.
In 2014, Evan starred in the comedy film Adult World. He also played the mutant Peter Maximoff, known as Quicksilver, in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past. He returned as Quicksilver in the 2016 sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.
In 2015, Peters was in the horror film The Lazarus Effect. He also played a wealthy businessman and serial killer named James Patrick March in the fifth season of American Horror Story, called Hotel. In 2016, he had a role in Elvis & Nixon. He also played two characters in American Horror Story: Roanoke.
In 2017, Peters played the lead in The Pirates of Somalia. He also received an award nomination for his performance in American Horror Story: Cult. The next year, Peters played the lead in the film American Animals. He also worked with Ryan Murphy again in the FX drama Pose. He ended that year by playing several characters in the American Horror Story crossover season, Apocalypse.
In 2019, he played Quicksilver again in the film Dark Phoenix. In 2021, Peters made a surprise appearance in the Disney+ series WandaVision. He played a different version of his Quicksilver character, who was later revealed to be an imposter. Also in 2021, Peters starred in Mare of Easttown, an HBO series about a police detective. For this role, he won an Emmy Award. Later that year, Peters returned to American Horror Story for its tenth season, playing Austin Sommers.
In 2022, Peters played the main character in the Netflix series, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. In June 2023, it was announced that Peters would join the cast of Tron: Ares alongside Jared Leto. The film is currently in post-production. In 2024, he appeared in the series Agatha All Along.
Personal Life
In 2012, Evan Peters began dating actress Emma Roberts. They met while working on the film Adult World. They were engaged in March 2014. In March 2019, it was announced that their relationship had ended.
Later in September 2019, Peters was seen with singer Halsey. They confirmed they were dating the following month. Their relationship lasted until March 2020.
