Film at Lincoln Center (FLC) is a special group in New York City that loves movies! It used to be called the Film Society of Lincoln Center until 2019. This group is a Nonprofit organization, which means it uses its money to help its cause, not to make a profit.
FLC was started in 1969 by three leaders from Lincoln Center. Their names were William F. May, Martin E. Segal, and Schuyler G. Chapin. The organization shows many different kinds of films. They present film festivals, special showings of old movies, new movies, and restored films. They also host talks about movies. Film at Lincoln Center is one of eleven main groups that are part of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
