Where Does the Water Go?

Water Flowing East

Water from the east side of Fir Mountain flows into Esopus Creek. From there, it travels into the mighty Hudson River. Eventually, this water reaches New York Bay.

Water Flowing Northwest

The northwest part of Fir Mountain also sends its water to Esopus Creek. This water first goes into a smaller stream called Elk Bushkill.

Water Flowing West and South

Water from the west and south sides of Fir Mountain takes a different path. It flows into Biscuit Brook. This brook then joins the West Branch of the Neversink River. Finally, this water reaches the Delaware River and flows into Delaware Bay.
