Gauri Shah Rukh Khan (born 8 October 1970), known as Gauri Khan, is an Indian film producer and Interior designer. She works in Hindi films and the design world. She has produced many films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, RaOne, and Chennai Express. These films were made under her company, Red Chillies Entertainment. She started this company in 2002 with her husband, actor Shah Rukh Khan.
Gauri Khan has also designed spaces for many famous people. In 2018, Fortune magazine named her one of the "50 Most Powerful Women".

Early Life
Gauri Chhibber was born in Delhi. Her parents were Vijayakumari and Colonel Jaggi Vasudev. She grew up in Panchsheel Park, Delhi. She went to Loreto Convent School and Modern School Vasant Vihar. She earned a history degree from Lady Shri Ram College. She also studied fashion design for six months.
Career
Starting Red Chillies Entertainment
In 2002, Gauri Khan and her husband Shah Rukh Khan started their film company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Before this, they had another company called Dreamz Unlimited, which began in 1999. Gauri is the co-chairperson and main producer for all the films made by Red Chillies Entertainment.
The first film she produced was Main Hoon Na, directed by Farah Khan. This movie did very well at the box office. It was the second highest-earning film that year. Gauri also appeared briefly in the film Om Shanti Om (2007), which she produced.
Becoming an Interior Designer
Gauri first became interested in interior design as a hobby. She enjoyed decorating her own home, a large bungalow called Mannat in Bandra. This house is now a famous spot for tourists.
In 2010, she started working as a professional interior designer. She teamed up with her friend and designer Sussanne Khan. They worked on their first project together in Vadodara. In 2011, Gauri and Sussanne also launched The Charcoal Project foundation in Mumbai.

In 2014, Gauri opened her first design store called The Design Cell. It is in Worli, Mumbai. The store shows furniture designed by Gauri and other Indian designers. In 2016, she was invited to show her designs at a big show in Paris called Maison et Objet.
In August 2017, Gauri opened her own design studio, 'Gauri Khan Designs' in Juhu, Mumbai. She has worked with famous international artists like Roberto Cavalli and Ralph Lauren. In an interview, she said her travels around India and the world inspire her designs. She won the Excellence in Design Award in 2018 for her work.
In 2017, Gauri Khan also created a collection of special lights for TISVA. This brand makes fancy home lights.
In the Media
Gauri Khan is known for being private and not always in the spotlight. However, she is often seen as one of the most stylish women in Bollywood. She appeared on the cover of Vogue India magazine in January 2008. The magazine called her the "First Lady of Bollywood." She was on the cover again in April 2012 with Sussanne Khan. She also walked the ramp with her husband for fashion designer Karan Johar in 2009.
In 2008, she appeared in a TV and print ad for D'decor, a home furnishings brand, with her husband.
Personal Life
Gauri first met Shah Rukh Khan in 1984 in Delhi. They got married on 25 October 1991, in a traditional Hindu ceremony.
They have three children: a son named Aryan (born 1997), a daughter named Suhana (born 2000), and another son named AbRam (born 2013). Shah Rukh Khan respects his wife's religion greatly. Their children learn about both Islam and Hindu beliefs.
In 2024, Gauri Khan reopened Torii, a fancy pan-Asian restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai. She used her interior design skills to create its look.
