Grandview's Story: A Look Back at Its History
Grandview got its name in 1905 from the Granger Land Company. It was named "Grandview" because of the amazing views of Mount Rainier and Mount Adams from the area.
Grandview officially became a city on September 21, 1909. It started as a simple stop along the railway line. This line connected the towns of Prosser and Sunnyside.
