Guayas is a large coastal area, or province, in Ecuador. It is located on the western side of the country. To its west, you'll find the Manabí and Santa Elena provinces, as well as the big Pacific Ocean.
Guayas is the most populated province in Ecuador. More than 3 million people live there. The biggest city in Ecuador, Guayaquil, is also located in Guayas.
Areas of Guayas: Cantons
The province of Guayas is divided into 25 smaller areas called cantons. Each canton has its own main town or capital.
