Hakeem Tyrone Dawodu (born July 2, 1991) is a Canadian MMA fighter. He used to compete in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Before joining the UFC, he also fought in the World Series of Fighting.

Hakeem Dawodu was born in Calgary, Canada. His mother is from Nigeria and his father is from Jamaica. When Hakeem was six, his mother raised him on her own. As a teenager, he faced some challenges. When he was 16, a counselor suggested he try Muay Thai training. This helped him learn to control his energy and focus.

Hakeem's main fighting style is Muay Thai, which is a type of martial art from Thailand. It uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes. He also has a strong background in Kickboxing. As an amateur in Muay Thai, he had a great record of 42 wins and only 5 losses. As a professional, he won 9 fights and had no losses in kickboxing.

Hakeem Dawodu started his professional mixed martial arts career in 2014. He quickly became known for his powerful strikes and exciting fights.

Fighting in World Series of Fighting

Hakeem's first professional fight was on February 21, 2014. He won by knockout in the first round. He continued to win his fights in the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). Many of his early wins were by knockout or technical knockout. This means he won by hitting his opponent until they couldn't continue.

In June 2021, Hakeem lost a fight by unanimous decision. He then won his next fight in February 2022 by unanimous decision.
