Harry Lawtey is a British actor born on October 26, 1996. He is well-known for playing Robert Spearing in the TV show Industry. This series started in 2020 and is still ongoing. Harry Lawtey also played Harvey Dent in the 2024 film Joker: Folie à Deux.

Early Life and Acting Dreams
Harry Lawtey was born in Oxford, England. His father worked as an engineer for military aircraft. Harry's parents grew up in a town called Barton-upon-Humber in Northern England. Many of his relatives still live there. Harry has an older brother, George, who is a coach for the Swansea City AFC football team.
When Harry was four years old, his family moved to Cyprus. At age 13, he saw a play called Oliver! at a local theater in Cyprus. This show made him want to become an actor.
Training to Be an Actor
While on holiday in England, Harry auditioned for the Sylvia Young Theatre School. He was accepted and lived there as a boarding student. He stayed with a host family in Abbey Wood along with four other boys.
After that, he finished his advanced school studies at Hurtwood House in 2015. He then went on to graduate from the Drama Centre London in 2018. This school is famous for training actors.
Harry Lawtey's Acting Career
Harry Lawtey started his acting career with small roles in TV shows. He appeared in the CBBC series Wizards vs Aliens. He also acted in the BBC One medical show Casualty.
In 2016, he made his first movie appearance. He played Charlie Benson in the crime thriller City of Tiny Lights. In 2018, he was Andrew in the detective series Marcella.
