Harvey Comics was a famous American company that published comic books. It was started in New York City in 1941 by Alfred Harvey. His brothers, Robert B. and Leon Harvey, soon joined him. Harvey Comics became well-known for creating stories about characters like Casper the Friendly Ghost and Richie Rich. They also made comics based on popular TV shows and movies. A famous artist named Warren Kremer drew many of their comics.
The company's fun mascot was a character called "Joker." He looked like a colorful jack-in-the-box toy.

For many years, the TV shows based on Harvey Comics characters, called Harveytoons, were shared by a company named Worldvision Enterprises. Later, these rights went to Paramount Pictures.
Then, Universal Studios had the rights to show these cartoons on video. In 2001, another company, Classic Media, took over. In 2016, the rights to Harvey Comics characters went back to Universal. This happened when Universal bought DreamWorks Animation, which owned Classic Media.
In 2018, Netflix started a new cartoon series called Harvey Street Kids. It was later renamed Harvey Girls Forever!. DreamWorks Animation made this show, and it featured characters from Harvey Comics. The series finished in 2020.
