Hind Dehiba Chahyd (born on March 17, 1979, in Bejaâd, Morocco) is a talented runner. She is from both Morocco and France. Hind is best known for her skills in the 1500 metres race.

Hind's Early Running Days

Hind started running at a very young age. When she was just 14, she ran the 1500 meters in 4 minutes and 21 seconds. She even ran this race barefoot! She also ran the 3000 meters in 9 minutes and 26 seconds.

Her talent was quickly noticed. In 1994, she competed in her first international race. This was the African Junior Championships in Algeria. Even though she was only 14, she finished sixth in the 3,000 meters junior race. In 1996, she became a vice-world champion in cross country for high school students in Turkey. Her team also won the world championship that year.

Hind took a break from running from 1998 to 2003 to focus on her education. When she returned to the sport in 2003, she quickly qualified for the French Elite Championship in the 800 meters.

In 2003, she married Fodil Dehiba and became a French citizen. This allowed her to compete for France in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She reached the semifinals in the 1500 meters.
