Jusuf Gazibegović (pronounced [jǔsuf ɡazibêːgoʋitɕ]) is a professional footballer from Austria. He was born on March 11, 2000. Jusuf plays as a right-back for the German club 1. FC Köln. Even though he was born in Austria, he plays for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Jusuf started his professional career at Red Bull Salzburg. In 2018, he was assigned to play for Liefering. Two years later, he joined Sturm Graz. In 2025, he made a big move to 1. FC Köln.
Before playing for the main national team, Jusuf played for Bosnia and Herzegovina's youth teams. He first played for the senior national team in 2021. Since then, he has played in over 20 international games.

Club Career Highlights
Starting Out in Football
Jusuf Gazibegović began playing football at a local club called Austria Salzburg. In 2011, he joined the youth academy of his hometown team, Red Bull Salzburg.
He made his first professional appearance for Red Bull Salzburg's feeder team, Liefering. This happened on March 3, 2018, when he was just 17 years old. He played against Ried. In April 2019, Jusuf had a serious knee injury. Doctors found he had a torn ACL, which meant he could not play for at least six months.
Playing for Sturm Graz
In September 2020, Jusuf Gazibegović joined Sturm Graz. He signed a contract for three years. His first official game for Sturm Graz was on October 4, against Altach.
On February 9, 2021, he scored his first professional goal. This goal was against Ried and helped his team win the game. In December 2022, he signed a new contract with Sturm Graz. This contract kept him with the club until June 2026.
Jusuf played his 100th game for Sturm Graz on April 9, 2023. This special game was against LASK. He won his first trophy with the club on April 30, 2023. Sturm Graz beat Rapid Wien in the Austrian Cup final. He won the Austrian Cup again in 2024. In the 2023–24 season, he also helped Sturm Graz win the Austrian Bundesliga title.
On September 19, 2024, he played in the UEFA Champions League for the first time. This big match was away against Brest.
Moving to 1. FC Köln
In January 2025, Jusuf Gazibegović moved to the German club 1. FC Köln. He made his first game for the team on January 18, against Hamburger SV.
Jusuf was a key player for 1. FC Köln. He helped them win the 2. Bundesliga title on May 18, 2025. This was his first trophy with the club. Winning the title meant they were promoted to the Bundesliga. This happened just one season after they had been relegated.
International Career
Jusuf Gazibegović has played for Bosnia and Herzegovina at all youth levels. He was even the captain of the under-19 team.
In May 2021, he was called up to play for the senior national team for the first time. These were friendly games against Montenegro and Denmark. He made his debut against Montenegro on June 2, 2021.
Personal Life
Jusuf Gazibegović is a Muslim. He has visited a mosque in Ilidža with some of his teammates. This happened during a national team training camp. Some of his teammates who joined him were Ermedin Demirović, Haris Tabaković, Nihad Mujakić, Haris Hajradinović, Dženis Burnić, Sead Kolašinac, Enver Kulašin, Nail Omerović, Benjamin Tahirović, Osman Hadžikić and Ermin Bičakčić.
