Jysk A/S (pronounced "YUHSK") is a big Danish company. It sells many things for your home. You can find mattresses, furniture, and decorations there.
Jysk is the largest Danish store chain that operates worldwide. It has over 3,100 stores in 51 different countries. The name Jysk means "Jutlandic," which refers to a part of Denmark.
A man named Lars Larsen started Jysk. He opened the very first store in April 1979. It was in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. Today, Lars Larsen's family still owns the company. They own it through a group called Lars Larsen Group.
The Jysk logo shows a goose. This animal has been part of the brand's story for a long time. Because Jysk products often have a simple, clean design like other Scandinavian items, some people call it the "Danish IKEA" but in a smaller size.
