Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever (born December 21, 1996) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in TV shows like Justified (2011–2015) and Last Man Standing (2011–2021). She also starred in the miniseries Unbelievable (2019). For her acting, she has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award.
Kaitlyn has also played important roles in movies. These include Short Term 12 (2013), Detroit (2017), and Beautiful Boy (2018). She also had leading roles in films like Booksmart (2019), Rosaline (2022), and No One Will Save You (2023).

Early Life
Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 21, 1996. Her parents, Kathy and Tim Dever, were ice skating coaches. She has two younger sisters, Mady and Jane. Her father also voiced Barney the Dinosaur from 1999 to 2001. He also co-owns a pretzel shop in Philadelphia.
When she was five, Kaitlyn became interested in acting. Her parents enrolled her in an acting school. She also tried ballet, gymnastics, and ice skating. However, she decided to focus on acting. This happened after she was inspired by actress Toni Collette in the movie The Sixth Sense (1999). Her family first moved to Dallas, where she filmed commercials. Later, they settled in Los Angeles.
Acting Career
Kaitlyn Dever's first big acting role was in 2009. She played Gwen Thompson in the film An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong. In 2011, she got an important role as Loretta McCready in the TV series Justified. That same year, she joined the cast of the sitcom Last Man Standing. She played the daughter of Tim Allen's character.
After six seasons, Kaitlyn took on a smaller role in Last Man Standing. This allowed her to work on other movies and TV shows. She also appeared in other TV series like Modern Family and The Mentalist. In 2011, she was in movies such as Bad Teacher and J. Edgar. In 2012, she was nominated for three 33rd Young Artist Awards for her roles.
In 2013, Kaitlyn had supporting roles in The Spectacular Now and Short Term 12. She also appeared in the comedy Laggies (2014) with Chloë Grace Moretz. In 2017, she was in the drama film Outside In. She also had roles in We Don't Belong Here and Detroit.
In 2019, Kaitlyn starred in the teen comedy Booksmart. She acted alongside Beanie Feldstein. The movie was directed by Olivia Wilde and was very popular. Music Career
Kaitlyn's parents encouraged her love for music from a young age. Her mother played music during car trips. Her father taught all his children to harmonize. Kaitlyn and her sister Mady learned piano when they were young. Kaitlyn later switched to guitar after getting one as a Christmas gift at age eight. She enjoys music from bands like ABBA and The Cure.
Kaitlyn and Mady performed together in elementary school talent shows. They called themselves Hot Pink and sang songs by artists like Avril Lavigne. Later, they changed their name to Anime Pearl. They performed in small clubs in Los Angeles.
In 2016, the sisters formed a new group called Beulahbelle. They named it after an ancestor. In 2018, they released their first music under this name. They contributed two songs to the film Tully. Beulahbelle released their first official single, "Raleigh," in 2020. They also directed and produced its music video. Their second single, "Being You," came out later that year. In 2021, they were featured on a cover song. In August 2024, the duo announced they would change their name to Devers. Their first single as Devers, "Poison," is set to be released in September.
Kaitlyn also sang four songs for the Dear Evan Hansen movie soundtrack in 2021.
