Lisa Salters, born on March 6, 1966, is a well-known American journalist. She used to play college basketball. Since 2000, she has been a reporter for ESPN and ABC. Before joining ESPN, Salters worked as a reporter at WBAL-TV in Baltimore from 1988 to 1995. She also covered major news stories for ABC.

Lisa Salters was born in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She went to Upper Merion Area High School. Later, she was honored by being added to her high school's Hall of Fame.
In 1988, she graduated from Penn State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. Salters played basketball for the Lady Lions team from 1986 to 1987. She is known for being the shortest player in the school's history at 5 feet 2 inches tall.
A Career in Broadcasting
Lisa Salters started her career as a news journalist. In 1995, she became the first West Coast correspondent for ABC's news service, NewsOne. She reported on many important events. These included major court cases and the 1998 Winter Olympics in Japan.
Joining ESPN and Sports Reporting
In March 2000, Salters joined ESPN as a general reporter. This was when she decided to focus on sports journalism. She works as a sideline reporter and co-producer for Monday Night Football. She is also the main sideline reporter for ESPN's NBA coverage on ABC.
Salters is a featured reporter on ESPN's newsmagazine show, E:60. This show started in October 2007. In 2008, she was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award. This was for a story called "Ray Of Hope."

Lisa Salters is a cousin of Tony Dorsett. He was a famous running back for the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2013, Salters adopted a son. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She shares her home with her partner, Stephanie White, White's three sons, and her own son.
On October 13, 2017, Salters was honored again. She was inducted into the Montgomery County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
