Where are the Kitimat Ranges?

The Kitimat Ranges are found in a beautiful part of British Columbia. To the north, they reach the Nass River and Portland Inlet. To the south, they extend to the Bella Coola River and Burke Channel.
On their eastern side, you'll find the Hazelton Mountains. The Kitimat Ranges also include many mountainous islands along the coast. These islands are part of the North Coastal Archipelago. One important island is King Island.
Even though these mountains are not as tall as the Pacific Ranges to the south, they are very rugged. This means they have a rough and wild look. The coast is full of deep, narrow inlets called fjords. There are also long, narrow lake valleys that look like fjords on the eastern side of the mountains.
