Loganville is a city in the state of Georgia, United States. It's special because it's located in two different counties: Walton County and Gwinnett County. In 2020, about 14,127 people lived there. Loganville is part of the larger Atlanta metropolitan area, located about 36 mi (58 km) east of the big city of Atlanta. Its motto is "Where people matter."

A Look Back: Loganville's History
Loganville wasn't always called Loganville! Long ago, it had another name: "Buncombe." Later, the city was named after an important early settler, James Harvie Logan. In 1887, the Georgia General Assembly, which is like the state's government, officially made Loganville a town.
Where is Loganville? Geography Facts
Loganville is mostly in the western part of Walton County. But its city limits also stretch into southeastern Gwinnett County. A main road, U.S. Route 78, goes right through the middle of Loganville. This road is also called Atlanta Highway. If you go east on Route 78 for about 5 miles (8.0 km), you'll reach Monroe. This is the main town for Walton County. If you go west on Route 78 for about 32 miles (51 km), you'll get to downtown Atlanta. Other important roads include Georgia State Route 20 and Georgia State Route 81. According to the United States Census Bureau, Loganville covers about 7.4 square miles (19.1 km2) of land. Only a very small part, about 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), is water.
