Loving is a small village located in Eddy County, New Mexico. In 2020, about 1,390 people lived there. Swiss immigrants first settled Loving in the 1890s.

Loving is found in the southeastern part of Eddy County. U.S. Route 285 runs along the west side of the village. This road can take you about 12 miles northwest to Carlsbad, which is the main city of the county. If you go about 74 miles southeast, you will reach Pecos, Texas. The Pecos River flows south, about 4 miles east of Loving.
