Ludlow is a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States. It's a fun place to visit, especially for skiing! In 2020, about 2,172 people lived here.
Ludlow is famous for Okemo Mountain, which is a very popular place for skiing and snowboarding. Before it became a ski spot, Ludlow was a "mill town." This means it had many factories that made things. There was even a General Electric plant here until 1977.
In July 2023, Ludlow was greatly affected by heavy flooding and a natural disaster that hit Vermont. The town was named after Ludlow, Massachusetts, which is less than 100 miles away. Inside the town of Ludlow, there is also a smaller area called the village of Ludlow, which is where the town first started.

Ludlow is located in the beautiful state of Vermont. The town covers a total area of about 35.7 square miles (92.5 km2). Most of this area, about 35.2 square miles (91.1 km2), is land. The rest, about 0.54 square miles (1.4 km2), is water.
Inside the town of Ludlow, you'll find the main village also called Ludlow. There are also two smaller communities called Grahamville and Smithville.
Lakes and Roads in Ludlow
If you love water activities, you might enjoy Lake Rescue. It's a popular lake for fun and relaxation. You can find it about three miles north of the town center. It's right along Vermont Route 100.
Vermont Route 103 is another important road that goes through the middle of Ludlow. While a major highway called Interstate 91 doesn't pass directly through Ludlow, you can easily get to it from nearby towns. The closest exits are in Rockingham and Weathersfield.
