Life in Malone
Malone is home to a unique store called Red's Hop N' Market. This store is a mini-mart. It's also special because it hosts the first official "village post office" for the United States Postal Service (USPS).
A village post office is a small post office located inside an existing business. It offers limited services, like selling stamps and shipping supplies. It doesn't have a full-time postmaster. The owner of Red's Hop N' Market gets paid by the USPS to provide these services. They also allow the USPS to place mailboxes on their property.
