The Maple River is a river in southern Minnesota, United States. It is about 80 miles (129 kilometers) long. The Maple River is a tributary of the Le Sueur River. This means it flows into the Le Sueur River. From there, its water travels through the Blue Earth River, then the Minnesota River, and finally into the mighty Mississippi River. So, the Maple River is part of the huge watershed of the Mississippi River!

The river got its name because of the many maple trees that grow along its banks. Imagine seeing all those beautiful maple leaves, especially in the fall!
