Today, Marina Bay has many homes like apartments, condos, and townhouses. It also has shops and small businesses. The city of Richmond sees Marina Bay as a great success story. They hope to bring even more new businesses here.

Fun Things to Do in Marina Bay
Marina Bay Yacht Harbor
Marina Bay is home to a large boat marina. It has space for 850 boats! The City of Richmond built this marina in the early 1980s. It is also known as Richmond Marina Bay.
The marina has four main sections for boats. These are called D-Dock, E-Dock, F-Dock, and G-Dock. You can find berths for boats from 26 feet to 61 feet long. There are also longer spots for boats up to 100 feet. A boat launch ramp is available for people to put their boats in the water.
The water in the marina is quite deep. This is because it used to be Shipyard #2 during World War II. Back then, huge Liberty Ships were built here.
Sailing Club
In the northeast part of the bay, you can find a yacht club. It offers monthly memberships for sailing. You can also take sailing lessons there. It's a great place to learn how to sail!
San Francisco Bay Trail
The San Francisco Bay Trail is a path that goes through Marina Bay. It starts at Point Isabel. Right now, the trail ends in Marina Bay. But there are plans to connect it to Point Richmond. It will also connect to the Richmond Greenway downtown.
Rosie the Riveter Monument
Marina Bay is home to a special monument. It is part of the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park. This monument honors the American women who worked during World War II. Many women worked in factories and shipyards.
The monument stands where Kaiser Shipyard #2 used to be. Women worked here building ships for the war. The monument is a pathway with pictures and words from that time. The path is about the same length as a Liberty Ship. It has three sculptures that look like parts of a ship.
Craneway Pavilion
The old Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant is now a cool new building. It's called the Craneway Pavilion. This building has businesses, a restaurant, and a bar. It's also a popular place for events and concerts.
Sister City Monument
You can visit Shimada Friendship Park in Marina Bay. This park has a monument to Shimada, Japan. Shimada is one of Richmond's sister cities. A sister city is a city that has a special friendship with another city in a different country.
Ferry Terminal
In 2016, a private water taxi service started here. It took people from Marina Bay to the San Francisco Ferry Building. The trip took about 35 minutes.
In 2019, the Richmond Ferry Terminal reopened. It had been closed since 2000. Now, you can take a ferry from Marina Bay directly to San Francisco.
