The village has a modern village hall, built in 1993. It's right next to a fun children's play park and a skateboard park. There's also a smaller parish hall nearby. This hall is used for a kindergarten and small shows. It even has a new Basketball hall! A special market called 'Marks Tey Market' happens here once a month. You can find it on the fourth Saturday from March to October.
St Andrew's Church
Marks Tey has a parish church called St Andrew's. The church hall is a very important part of the community. It's home to the 1st Marks Tey Scouts Group. This group includes Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.

Marks Tey Football Club
The Marks Tey Football Club started in 1998. Their home ground is Jubilee Playing Fields. This is right next to the skateboard park. The club has several teams. These include a men's Saturday team, a men's Sunday team, and a veterans' team. There are also two youth teams and two mini football teams.
Getting Around Marks Tey
Marks Tey is well-connected, making it easy to travel.
Train Services
Marks Tey railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line. This train line connects London Liverpool Street to Ipswich. Marks Tey is also where the Sudbury Branch Line starts. Passenger trains are run by Greater Anglia. Trains usually run every half-hour to London and to Colchester or Ipswich. There are also hourly trains on the branch line to Sudbury.

Bus services are provided by the 370/371 First Bus service. This bus goes between Chelmsford and Colchester.
Major Roads
The village is located next to the A12 dual carriageway. This big road connects east London with Lowestoft.
