Writing and Acting Career
Matt Nable was encouraged by his mentor, Booker Prize-winning novelist Thomas Keneally. He wrote a movie script for The Final Winter. This script was based on a book he had written but not yet published. With the help of friends, he raised $1.6 million to make the film. The movie was released in 2007. It received good reviews from critics but did not make much money at the box office.
