Maurice Lynell Harris (born November 11, 1992) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver, catching passes from the quarterback. Maurice played college football for the California Golden Bears. After college, he joined the Washington Redskins in 2016. He also played for the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and BC Lions.

Professional Football Career
After college, Maurice Harris hoped to be picked in the 2016 NFL draft. He was not drafted, but he still got a chance to play professionally.
Washington Redskins
Maurice Harris signed with the Washington Redskins in May 2016. He first joined their practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team. They can be called up to play if needed.
On October 21, 2016, Maurice joined the main team. He got his first NFL catch in November 2016. This was during a game against the Minnesota Vikings. He caught three passes for 28 yards in that game.

In 2017, he was again on the practice squad at first. He was moved to the active roster on November 11, 2017. The very next day, he made an amazing play. He caught a 36-yard pass with one hand against the Vikings. This was his first ever touchdown in the NFL!
In 2018, Maurice had his best game. He caught 10 passes for 124 yards. This happened in a game against the Atlanta Falcons. He finished that season with 28 catches.
New England Patriots
In March 2019, Maurice Harris signed a one-year contract. He joined the New England Patriots. However, he was released from the team in August 2019 due to an injury.
New Orleans Saints
Maurice Harris then signed with the New Orleans Saints in January 2020. This was a "reserve/future" contract. It meant he would join the team later. He was released by the Saints in August 2020.
