Playing in the Pros
Florida Panthers
Before joining the NHL, Frolík played for two seasons in the Czech Extraliga for HC Rabat Kladno. In 2006, the Florida Panthers chose him as the tenth overall pick in the NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2008–09 season. In his first year, he scored 21 goals and made 24 assists, totaling 45 points in 79 games. The next season, he continued to play well, scoring 43 points.
Chicago Blackhawks
In February 2011, Frolík was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. He scored his first goal for the Blackhawks in March 2011 against the Calgary Flames. A penalty shot is a special play where one player gets to try and score against the goalie all by themselves.

In July 2011, Frolík signed a new three-year contract with the Blackhawks. During a break in the NHL season in 2012–13, he played for Piráti Chomutov in the Czech Extraliga. In the 2013 playoffs, he scored another playoff penalty shot goal, becoming the first NHL player to score more than one in the playoffs!
