Misha Ge (born May 17, 1991) is a former competitive figure skater from Uzbekistan. He won a bronze medal at the 2017 Internationaux de France competition. Misha also earned nine other international medals and four national titles in Uzbekistan. He placed in the top ten at six major skating championships, including the World Championships in 2015 and 2018. He also competed in the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.

About Misha Ge
Misha Ge was born in Moscow, which is in Russia. His parents, Larisa and Jun Ge, were both skating coaches. Misha has a mix of Russian, Chinese, and Korean family roots.
When he was about 10 years old, Misha lived in Beijing, China. This is where his parents worked as coaches. He also spent time living in Hong Kong SAR, other parts of Mainland China, and Taiwan (ROC). In 2009, he moved to the United States. Later, in 2013, he returned to Beijing. Misha can speak Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and English. He has also studied choreography at dance academies in Beijing and Hollywood.
Misha's Skating Journey
Starting as a Skater
Misha Ge first stepped onto the ice when he was three and a half years old. He started training seriously at age ten after his family moved to China. From 2009, he trained in the United States. He began representing Uzbekistan in competitions starting in 2010.
In 2011, Misha placed 6th at the Asian Winter Games. He also finished 12th at the Four Continents Championship. He trained in Lake Arrowhead, California, with Frank Carroll helping him with his jumps.
During the 2011–12 season, Misha won silver medals at the Asian Trophy, Ice Challenge, and Istanbul Cup. He placed 9th at the 2012 Four Continents.
Competing on the World Stage
Misha placed 16th at the 2013 World Championships. This result helped Uzbekistan get a spot for a male skater at the 2014 Winter Olympics. In 2013, Beijing became Misha's main training base. That autumn, he competed in his first Grand Prix event, the 2013 Rostelecom Cup. In February 2014, Misha competed at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, where he finished 17th.
In the 2014–15 season, Misha placed 5th at the 2014 Cup of China and 4th at the 2014 Rostelecom Cup. He then achieved two top-ten finishes at major championships. He was 8th at the 2015 Four Continents and an impressive 6th at the 2015 World Championships.
For the 2015–16 season, Misha had to withdraw from one Grand Prix event due to a visa issue. He finished 8th at the 2015 Cup of China. In October, he won a gold medal at the 2015 CS Denkova-Staviski Cup. Throughout this season, he struggled with a left ankle injury. This injury was caused by doing quad jumps.
Misha continued to compete in the 2016–17 season, even though his left ankle was still injured. In March 2017, he thought about retiring from competitive skating.
However, he decided to compete in the 2017–18 season. He competed in two Grand Prix events. At the 2018 Rostelecom Cup, he finished 4th. His next event was the 2017 Internationaux de France, where he placed 3rd and won his first Grand Prix medal. He finished behind Javier Fernández and Shoma Uno. At the 2018 Four Continents, he placed 6th. In February 2018, Misha competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He finished 17th overall. At the 2018 World Figure Skating Championships, he placed 9th, which was his second top-ten finish at Worlds. After this competition, Misha announced his retirement from competitive skating.
Working as a Choreographer
Besides being a competitive skater, Misha Ge also creates skating programs for himself and other skaters. He helps them design their routines and movements on the ice. Some of the skaters he has worked with include:
