Mondo Media, Inc. is an American company that creates and shares animated shows online. They mostly make cartoons for teens and young adults. John Evershed and Deirdre O'Malley started the company in 1988. It is located in San Francisco, California.
Before they were known as Mondo Mini Shows, the company first made content for different technology companies. Later, they created two video games: Critical Path in 1993 and The Daedalus Encounter in 1995. Back then, the company was called Mechadeus. In the late 1990s, Mondo started focusing on making cartoons for the internet. This became their main business and they changed their name to Mondo Mini Shows.
Mondo's most famous and loved shows are Happy Tree Friends and Dick Figures. Happy Tree Friends has grown into a huge franchise with many different products. Dick Figures was even made into a full-length movie and was nominated for an Annie Award.
In January 2013, AdAge Magazine reported that Mondo Media was the most popular YouTube channel ever. It had over 1.3 billion views and 1.3 million subscribers.

Mondo Media on TV
In 2013, a Canadian TV channel called Bite worked with Mondo Media and YouTube. They created a show called Bite on Mondo. In this program, cartoon creators could share their ideas for new shows. Mondo helped fund these ideas. YouTube's popularity helped decide which shows would be chosen. The winning shows were aired on Bite on August 29, 2014.
In October 2014, Mondo Media and other companies announced a new series. This series would feature short cartoons from the Bite on Mondo program. It was planned to air in 2016 on Teletoon at Night. However, it actually premiered on September 4, 2015, as Night Sweats on Adult Swim Canada.
In 2015, Mondo Media made a sketch comedy series called Like, Share, Die for Fusion. This show had many short segments and episodes from other Mondo web series.
On September 19, 2016, it was announced that 6 Point Harness would join Mondo Media. Mondo Media would be the main company. Mondo would use the 6 Point Harness name for its TV shows. But they would keep the Mondo Media name for their web series and public activities. Brendan Burch, who started 6 Point Harness, became the new CEO of Mondo Media. John Evershed, one of the founders, stayed on the company's board.
In May 2019, El Rey Network showed a collection of Mondo series. This was called the Mondo Animation Hour.
