Where is Monticello?
Monticello is located in the middle of Lawrence County, Mississippi. It sits on the west side of the Pearl River.
Roads and Travel
U.S. Route 84 goes around the north side of town. This four-lane road can take you east about 15 miles (24 km) to Prentiss. If you go west, it's about 22 miles (35 km) to Interstate 55 in Brookhaven.
Mississippi Highway 27 also passes through the west side of Monticello. You can travel north about 37 miles (60 km) to Crystal Springs. Or, you can head south about 33 miles (53 km) to Tylertown.
