Morlon is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Gruyère district, which is part of the Fribourg canton. Morlon is known for its beautiful location near the southern end of the Lake of Gruyère.

A Look Back in Time: Morlon's History

Morlon was first mentioned a very long time ago, in the year 1038. Back then, it was called Mollon. It wasn't until the year 1500 that people started calling it Morlon, which is the name we use today.

Morlon is located in the Gruyère district. It sits at the southern end of the Lake of Gruyère. The town itself is a haufendorf village. This means it's an old, unplanned village with houses built close together around a central area. It is also on the main road between Bulle and Fribourg.
