Where Does Mount Redfield's Water Go?

Mount Redfield is part of a watershed that feeds the Opalescent River. A watershed is an area of land where all the water drains into a single river or lake. The Opalescent River is a smaller river, called a tributary, that flows into the mighty Hudson River. The Hudson River then empties into New York Bay.

Water Flow from Mount Redfield

Water from the northeast and north sides of Mount Redfield flows into Uphill Brook. This brook then joins the Opalescent River. Water from the west side of Redfield goes into Upper Twin Brook. This brook also flows into the Opalescent River. Finally, water from the south side of Redfield drains into Skylight Brook. This brook then joins Dudley Brook before reaching the Opalescent River.
